my windows 98 comes on with file manager...

i shut my computer down as normal and later on i turned it on, it all loaded normal except for that my windows 98 comes on with file manager, instead of the usual start menu and desktop, i get windows file manager instead. i still have windows 98 though. i have tried restarting. i only got on the internet for help becuase of the help part on the windows file manager. i have no idea what has happen, sorry if i'm vague, it's because i'm not sure whats gone wrong. i have
windows 98 SE
AMD-k6 3d processor
56.0 MB of RAM
oh and i need help

sorry but i managed to fix the problem it was because when i tried to fix the explorer problem i changed a file name but now i think it's ok
