Speeding up start up on w2k server

I seem to have a million and one things starting up,my problem is ,that I don't know what most of them are.Is there some way I can identify the ones I need .I have found a number in Task manager under processes they number 43 .Thanks in advance

you can go here and download msconfig for 2000

you can go here and find programs
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup...m#THE_PROGRAMS

all you really need for your computer to run is IE explorer and sys tray

most of the things in your start up you will recognize if you put them on or not and you can decide if you need them to start when you boot up or run them manually when you need them this does not remove them from your machine it just keeps them from auto running

the path to get to msconfig

start /run /msconfig / startup /uncheck prog you dont want to run auto /apply /ok reboot /check do not show pop up after reboot
