I've turned my panel stuff into a mess. Is there any way i can reset it to the original? or reset my settings?

Hey R4NG3R, can you give just a bit more of a description as to what you have done here. Might help in getting it fixed.

Two ways that I can think of to do it....

1. Go to the RedHat Menu and select Control Center. Inside there select Appearance & Themes and then select Theme Manager. Change your theme back to the Bluecurve and you should have most everything back to the default settings. (Assuming that you're using KDE for yourdesktop, Gnome {default} has its settings slightly different I believe).

2. If this is a user account (not root) that you haven't saved a lot of data in the /home/user/ folder and also configured a lot of applications, then you can, as root, delete the user, and then recreate it. BUT BE CAREFUL when doing this.....you should back up the user's folder before deleting it, just in case you need some of the config files back.

One thing that I have gotten into the habit of doing is setting up a user account named 'junk'. And with this user I do all the experimental things that I want to tinker with, so that I don't muck up my common user account.

And by the way.....you're not logging on regularly as root are ya? Not a good thing to do. Always keep a regular acount for day-to-day stuff and save root for those 'admin' style tasks and things that are too strenous to do while su as root.
