Ok, i installed a new CD-RW in my Linux box today and i've had some problems.

The setup went okay, everything seem to work fine, but when i tried to access my XCDRoast or my CD Burner software build in with linux i get an error saying:

Error
The password you typed is invalid. Please try again.

I didn't even enter a password... I went into Hard Ware Profiles and it recognized the CD-RW. Something is wrong with the software i suppose, any help would be appreciated as always!

Are you still running as root or as a user account. Config of XCD-Roast must be done by a "super-user" before any normal user can use it.

well i got into roast using a USER account. But can you tell me what an

Temporary Image Storage Directory is? it's in my config, and i can't save without setting one.

You need to config XCDRoast as root.

The "Temporary Image Storage Directory" is the directory that the files are stored in when copying a CD for example. Image in this case means "a replica of" and the "temporary" part infers that this directory will be used temporarily for the creation process and its contents will be removed after the process is complete.

Make it a directory that nothing else will go into and it should be a read/writable directory by all users that will be using XCDRoast. ::edit - and you also want to ensure that this directory has no size limits less than 800MB or you'll have problems.::

*By the way.....this info is in their documentation* ;)
