Hard drive

How do you transfer data from one hard drive to another? I'm upgrading to a bigger Hard drive. Do I need special software, or can any one do it? Thanks
Ron

Usually when you buy a new harddrive it comes with software to completly compy the old hard drive to the new. I know this is the case with Western Digital harddrives and Maxtors MaxBlast software will do the same I beleive.

Does that answer your question or do we need to find a way for you to do it without the software that comes with the harddrive.

MaxBlast3

That should work with your drive and make it super easy to copy your drive.
You will need a blank floppy disk after the program is downloaded and you want to create the MaxBlast boot disk.
Although the downside is it may install a drive overlay but you also may need that for it to work.

It should be very straight-forward.
If you put the created floppy disk in and it won't start tell us because we know how to fix that.
