cpu chip

can u replace a 120 Mhz cpu chip with a 166 Mhz chip?

Depends....

Need more info, motherboard, computer name/brand. It all depends on what kind of system it is. If it is a 486 computer then probably not.

If it is a pentium, probably can...we just need more info about the specifications of the system....

both MB's are penthiums I want to replace a A 80502-120Mhz SX994/VMU Socket 5. with a 6x86 MX Pr166 (IBM 26x86 MX-AVAPr166GB)socket 7

that's all the info I could find on the chips
