formatting

i have windows nt 4.0 for my laptop, i want to re format and put windows 98, is there nething different i have to do since its a windows nt?

ok new question when i am after i type in format c: at a:/>format c:

i get this
format not supported on drive c:, format terminated what does that mean??

To reformat in order to install WIN98, you first have to delete the partition on which NT resides, then create a new Primary DOS partition, format it, then install WIN98.
You could try the delpart utility in order to get rid of the current partition. It is available for d/load from here. D/load the delpart.exe file and copy it to a bootable floppy disk. Boot your computer from this startup disk and invoke the delpart utility. Once you have deleted the NT partition, you could follow the directions in this tutorial to create a new partition, then format and install 98.
