stuck windows user name-password page
Have a Aspire by Acer made 10-12-98, model 2192 with USB only for keyboard and mouse. Running windows 98. Boots to windows, username, password page. Neither mouse or keyboard seem to work. Can't type or move curser. Both mouse and keyboard work on another computer.

Hi! Welcome to CTH
Reboot and hit the DEL key on the first window, hopefully Keyboard worksin DOS. If you get into SETUP (CMOS), then find a menu item that addresses USB and make sure it is enabled. Save & Exit and let it continue booting. The other computer where they work is it running Windows 98???
