Background: 6 W98, 1 XP, 1 NT4 Server. System setup 3 yrs ago with no errors or real issues. Corel WP Office install corrupted W98 computer. Reset system.
Issue: Full W98 install. Hooked to network. All settings verified with others. Receives valid IP from router and will connect to internet. Does boot up with Domain login screen. Error: Cannot find server to validate logon name or password. NT lists user with no password (like it used to). Can logon from another computer with no problem so I have narrowed it to the system I reset. Have removed all networking clients and protocol, reset network card drivers, reinstalled networking, verified settings and again Internet, but no Network. Also, this might narrow it, other W98 computer can see computer but not the shared c drive. This computer not able to see anything but self.
