Angry How Do You Edit In IE?

I want to edit a website in IE and not in Notebook. How do I do that? I don't have an edit button and the only edit available when I click the 'Edit' button at the top is "Edit in Notebook". I remember with my previous versions of IE I had an edit button and I could edit directly with IE. I have the newest version of IE. How do I edit in it? I was reading this website http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...leditplatf.asp but I don't understand how to activiate this. Do I have to use this or can I do it another way?

Can't recall IE ever having the ability to Edit a document, but I think if you have Front Page installed then the Edit option will open in Front Page and not Notepad.

You can also change this option by going to
Tools>Internet Options>Programs>...

I don't know what you used to use for IE but if it was WYSIWYG then it might have been Netscape's Composer. It opens when you choose Edit from Netscape or Mozilla. (A convenience for those who like to edit with Composer but a major pita for those who like to edit with Notepad -not Notebook.)

If you have Netscape, then open the file and edit it from there instead of IE. If you don't have it, download and install Mozilla. It has the Composer component.
