I setup a DSL connection for my church. Right now the few pc's aren't networked since we are in the process of moving to a new building. Is there a way for me to gain access to the DSL connection without having to install internet sharing software in that pc, wireless nic???
I have my own laptop that I use for creating the powerpoint/song slides. It would be nice to be able to get on the internet by just taking my machine to any room.
If internet sharing softare is the only solution, can anyone suggest something? Thanks!

Depends on money really.
If you want to go hi-tech then you could setup a wireless network.
You'd need a wireless access point to plug the modem into.
You then add wireless cards to the Laptop/PC's.
Expensive though ;)

Yeah, that's what I was figuring. I was hoping I could tap into the line with some sort of wireless without messing with the main machine. Oh well, just a thought. Thanks.

If you use a Wireless router then the router will be at the center of the network.
The Modem will plug into the Router and the PC's will plug into the router.
The PC's will be able to access the net independently of each other.
You could also do this with a Ethernet Router, which will be alot cheaper but you will need cabling.

Thanks,
I was hoping I could "tap" into the dsl connection without having to do anyting to the main pc where the connection is. I guess that would be illegal though if possible, ooops.
Dang....
