If a network exists and the printer is working on the machine it's
connected to then make sure printer sharing is turned on. On the
other machines you go into Control Panel Printers and add a new
printer. Select a network printer and the printer should be in the list.

I have a similar problem: I can print from other computers, but I can't use the other functions (namely the scanner or copier). Is this supported? If so, how do I enable it?

Thanks!

I am not an expert, but I was extremely frustrated when I tried to use the HP C6100 printer through my wireless router when I first got it. I could print but I could not get the scanning and copying and faxing to work with any my computers in the house.

They were all running windows XP2. I finally gave in and got a USB cable that I attached to the desktop and ran all the printing through that machine, or I pulled the cable from that machine and attached it to the laptop when necessary.

I got a new desktop recently with VISTA and when I downloaded the HP drivers FROM THE HP.COM WEBSITE ... voila, the system is working perfectly without the USB cable.

So, easy solution... new computer!

Other than that, what a frustrating year it was....

Eric

6110 Help

Thanks... I was relying on the plug and play drivers but will download the "HP official" drivers and see if that helps.

Appreciate the help.
