No specs in your profile.
1) What O/S? 2) What make/model router? 3) What IP shows in winipcfg (or ipconfig) 169.*.*.* ? 4) What ether card? 5) When you say "repairing the connection" what is it that you are doing to do this? Run Aida32 and post the name of the ether card. |

ISP account a lot more difficult. You only need one router. I would like to know what those makes/models are. If I am going to point you in directions that need to deal with the router I am going to need to know what we're dealing with. All routers access their configurations with different IP addresses. is Network, click the little plus sign and then click once on PCI/PnP Network and then post here (word for word) the name that is there. We are going to get some drivers for the ether chip/card. If there is more than one computer connected to these routers that you are trying to connect with then Aida32 will need to be installed and ran on them as well. Also, could you tell me please if you are the person who connected these routers and configured the machines or if someone else did and gave up leaving you to sort it out. |

Have a look at this.....
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;313896 It will help if the problem is within WinXP. The problem could be with your DHCP server, in this case your router. Knowing what model you are using will help with configuration issues |
