dont know what to do

ok, i am a garbageman and almost everyday i find computers.....the decent ones i save. well today i saved a compaq deskpro. its has a PII with MMX.

i ran the aida program and it tell me everything on the computer........ok so heres what i want to do. the computer, as far as i know, came from a business and it has adminstrative settings set or whatever. what i want to do is erase everything and install a my own OS. it currently has windows 95 and i want to put 98 SE on.

so i guess my question really is, what drivers do i need to find before hand for when i install the new OS. Video, Sound, NIC, i know i missing somethin else..... can i identify these from the aida program?

another problem is that the aida program doesnt display what the MB name is. it just says unknown. but it does say that the chipset is the Intel 82440LX/EX.....i dont know if thats any help.

so can anyone kind of direct me in the right direction. what i need to do about the drivers basically. i know how to partition and format and install and all that mumbo jumbo..... i guess i just need to know what im looking for.....driver wise. thanks

hi
the mobo chipset is known to win95 and 98... and is no problem

control panel's hardware manager should tell you what hardware this machine has (even in safe mode)
