okay i just installed a 256 mg ram card. worked fine regonized in BIOS win ect. made sure it worked with my MB and everything. but on windows startup i get a blue screen my sound card has been routed improperly by my system and is inactive. and then my gfx card didnt work and on opening windows i would get a message saying a theres a problem with the adapter type. i removed the ram and the problem remained. i have tried re-installing drivers for both but nothing works.

i'm a little confused, if this was a PCI motherboard problem why arent my other PCI devices effected. and how come my windows device manager says my gfx card is working fine but my gfx card isnt working in windows.

is this a motherboard problem? windows problem? hardware problem? i would apresiate any help./

Hi tahder, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

Are you showing any errors in Device Manager? If so select
them and
Remove(button)

What make/model "ram card" is this your dealing with?

Hi, as Spider said above.
If errors in device manager, reboot into Safe Mode and remove all instances of problem devices.

May need to do it with and without the new ram installed to see comparison.

Also go in to BIOS and choose 'Reset configuration Data'.
It normally is in 'PNP/PCI Configuration'....may need to check with motherbord manual......for each install of hardware.

Reboot.
