I'm currently running Windows XP Home Edition SP1 on my laptop. I use a hub to network my computers together, and have configured the built-in firewall etc. The problem I am having is I don't get any internet connection unless I have a network bridge. My other computers run Windows 98 and don't have a problem with connecting. I remember that before I did not need a bridge, but after moving around a bit I just couldn't connect without one. It doesn't really affect net surfing, but seems to make LAN and NET games a little (little = lots) laggy . Seeing if this problem due to bridging or if it's something else and wondering why I need a bridge.
