I’m working a peer-to-peer network with this setup:
Ø (5) Workstations with the OS’s being Win98 SE & ME (1)
o Protocols are: Netbeui for local LAN
o TCP/IP for DSL
Ø Norton’s 2003 AV updated
This is the problem:
Ø A newly added workstation keeps dropping the network mappings. I reboot the machine after mapping the drives and they are gone, like they were never mapped
o I remap the drives and all is well until the next reboot
Ø I have this problem occasionally with other workstations but the newest one is chronic
Anything will help as these are nice people but their network is a PITA
