I've enabled the LPT1 in the BIOS, now do I have to reinstall windows or is there a way of loading the LPT1 from the Win98 CD? Any help would be great. Thanks

Try to stay in the original thread. Else everything prior to this will be lost. Just post reply instead of new topic.
Now to the business at hand.
It should have found the port when you rebooted. Being as it didn't there must be another problem. Go to Device Manager, and look up ports and see what is in there.
