I know this is scanty info to give you re asking for help but I got this email that poses the problem "In sending digital photos I need to break into smaller bits" As I know zilch about cameras period could you give me any ideas to pass on. I know this person would be so appreciative and so would I. Thanks, Grace

Smaller bits?
If the file size has to be smaller, then you can use File Splitting software.
The Software will split the file into sizes & parts of your choice.
e.g.
1MB file = 4 x 250k files
http://freebyte.com/hjsplit/
Use the program to split the files at one end and join them together at the other.
otherwise, the images could be optimized & resized to reduce the file size.

Probably one big jpeg or it is still in bitmap form, which is usually huge. I had a sales slip of purchase scan (for a rebate) that somehow would not let me save it as jpeg. Left it as bitmap. It was 13mb in size.
I use The File Splitter (http://members.nbci.com/mbjorklu/file_splitter/) which has no spyware and works great, and best of all is free.
