I've just installed a second hard drive as D Drive. Is there an easy way to transfer programs from C to D? Or do I have to reinstall!!!! Thanks

I wish I could tell you that you can just copy them. Unfortunately, it used to be that way in DOS. However with Windows we have that varmit, the Registry to contend with. With that in mind the easiest and best way I have found, is by using Clean Sweep. It will move the entire program and all related registry entries.

Drive Copy is an exelent program for copying from one drive to another.
If the new drive is a western digital drive, they also have software to copy the contents of the drive over. Its on the data lifeguard tools disk.

Nancy,
I'm assuming that you already have an OS on the C drive and your C drive is new. You then decided to install your older hard drive for some more space, your D drive. Am I right?
The whole problem with copying over programs is that when you install them on your hard drive they are writing contents to your registry. Copying them over to your C drive will not writing contents to your registry and thus your programs most likely will not work.
What BigStu suggested will work. I'm not entirely sure though. I believe that drive Copy will copy one hard drive to the other overwriting whatever was on the drive beforehand.
I would personally reinstall them. Hopefully you have all of the CDs
:)

Also, there are Drive Mapping programs.
Partition Magic comes with a tool called Drive Mapper.
It allows you to move files from one drive to another & will change all relevant info.
