My Win98 PC was running fine for several months until the other day. Now it boots up with the error:
While initializing device IOS:
Error: Real mode system memory allocation failed.
I checked with MS KnowledgeBase - no luck. I renamed the autoexec.bat & config.sys and rebooted - no luck.
I can boot to Safe mode fine. My Windows 98 Resource Kit has not helped me here. This is an Athlon 1GHz with 256 Mb ram.
Any ideas?
