how to send view of desktop(ALL ICON'S) to E-mail?

HI: Can anyone tell me how to Send the Desktop View of my pc(Windows98SE)as an attachment to my E-mail letter at Yahoo? I got it in Word Pad But it would not transfer to E-mail! Please let me know ANYBODY have any Idea's? Thank YOU

When you are viewing your desktop press and hold down the [ALT] key. With the Alt key held down, press the Print Screen key.

**Note**
The print screen key is located to the right of the F12 key.

Mow that you've done the above, open paint brush. Go to Edit and then select paste. Your desktop should be displayed inside the paint brush window. Click File, then click Save As and save it as something like MyDesktop.bmp. Make sure you know where you saved your picture to.

Now all you have to do is attach the file to your email. And that's it.

Open Paint (or better yet, IfranView (http://www.irfanview.com)
Edit/Paste
File > Save As "Desktop.jpg"

Attach "Desktop.jpg" file to your email.

Thanks Everyone, I will try it! SMURFY I think you are right it may be too big, i don't know yet (will find out) But if i make it a JPEG FILE won't it be too small? And I will let everyone know how it turns out when completed fully.

The picture will remain the same size but the actual size of the file will be different.

I JUST WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THERE ADVICE IT WAS ALL PRETTY SIMILAR AND IT WORKED OUT OK, I HAD SOME TROUBLE WHEN I CLICKED ON ATTACH FILE TO YAHOO. IT WOULD NOT GO THEN SOMEONE MENTIONED YAHOO SCANS ALL ATTACHMENTS BEFORE SENDING THEM OUT AND YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT. SO I DID IT AGAIN AND THIS TIME I WAITED A FULL 60 SECONDS AND IT WENT THRU LIKE A CHARM. I HAD 50 ICON'S ON THE DESKTOP SO MAYBE IT TOOK LONGER! THANK YOU ALL AGAIN TOMSTONSILS59
