View Full Version : Icons on desktop aren't showing.

I don't know when started this, its not so long, but now i can't see the "my computer" icon, or my documents, my briefcase, recycle bin, network, ... Do you know how to make it normal again??

Right click on the desktop, select properties, select the Effects tab and then make sure that the Hide Icons when the desktop is viewed as a web page box is unchecked.

If that's not the problem then iright above the box a just mentioned you should see pictures of your icons such as: my computer, my documents folder, empty recycle bin, etc. Highlight one of the icon and then click on the default icon button. Do this for all the icon and see if that helps.

ok. the tab "Hide when desktop was viewed as web" was already unchecked. But then I chose for each Icon, pressing for the Default Icon, then it worked. Thanks! :)

Glad everything worked out. Just wondering, Are you using a Desktop Theme?

In fact i was using a desktop theme 3 months ago, but them i was just using the icons like the new windows ME, (my windows is 98) but then someday started that.

so the answer is yes, i was using it.
