If my computer is left on for more than a few hours, it "sticks" like crazy. Do you know whats up?? It's a 98/99 SONY VAIO pentium 2 under full warranty, it's pretty standard and we haven't done much to it. :confused:

This is not normal. I would have the service people look at it. This is the time to take care of those things, while it is under warranty. It could be bad RAM, or a bad thermistor, or even a bad power supply. Or it could be something as simple as a keyboard. However, if you mess with it yourself, you could void your warranty.

Your problem does seem to be heat related. Is your fan working on the back of your laptop?

Thanks to you both.
Theoran, it's not a laptop, it's a regular desktop. I checked in back and the fan does appear to be working, it makes a noise and there is warm air flowing out of the vent. ?

Sorry about that Joey, every time I think of a Sony VAIO I think of laptops. I didn't know thy used the same name for their desktops. :o
