recourse problem?

I have this annoying problem with my computer. I veiw alot of high resolution pictures and my pc seems to have trouble with that. after viewing a few it just stops showing them! the image preview wount work and if I open it it just shows blank! I use explorer as my default picture viewer. I just built up a new machine not to long ago it consists of 1.7ghz celeron (400mhz fsb) whatever that means. ontop of a gigabyte p4 titan 533. maxtor 80 gig 7200 rpm. sound blaster live 5.1. 128 for ram. any suggestions? I do sometimes get warnings that the system is low in resources but not shure if that is the direct cause?

hi

you could use more RAM
you have only 128, and albeit that is sufficient for windows 98, it takes more to enjoy imaging/photoediting software.

in your case, I would either ADD 256, or replace 128 with 512
yep, win 98 needs some configurating to avoid errors when you put in more than 512...
( I run it with 1024 RIMM with this setting in system.ini )
[vcache]
MinFileCache=524288
MaxFileCache=524288
=================

however, resources and RAM are NOT the same.
even with 128Mb RAM, I suggest you run SYSEDIT

get to system.ini
and in [386enh] section, add the following line
MinSPs=12

this will give you some more windows stacks
--------

to try free up resources, the next thing you ought to do, is identify and remove all the fluffware from the systemtray.
