cpqinet

After trying to load an accounting program onto my computer, there is always a message that pops up saying cpqinet has done something invalid. Is the program no longer there and should I download a new one or what is the problem?

Hi phoenix85 - welcome to CTH. CPQInet Runtime Service is software for Compaq's and it allows AOL and Compuserve subscribers to use Easy Access buttons for the Internet. It is not required if you don't use these ISP providers.

Try disabling it via msconfig (go to Start > Run and type msconfig and then click OK. Click on the Startup Tab and uncheck this entry and reboot)

Re-install your accounting package and see if you still get an error.
