IE 6 Address Bar

Has anyone experienced the peculiar problem of the IE 6 SP 1 address bar resetting one time upon entering information into it? Begin typing info, and in a second or two it reverts back to where you were when you started. After that one reset, it works perfectly. This is, of course, with the Windows ME operating system. It's annoying as all heck, though not a serious problem.

Hi there....I've never encountered the problem....you could try a repair..

go to control panel/add remove progs/IE6 and tools/add remove/repair

Problem solved. But it took me 4 hours to puzzle it out from every angle. The answer: Tweak UI in the IE tab had a check in Remove URL history on exit. Unchecking it stabilizes the address bar by allowing the creation of the "TypedUrls" registry key.
