Drivers

I'm having a problem finding drivers for my mother board Asus P5S-VM and cd rom LG CD-ROM CRD-8322B. I'm in the process of switching to windows xp. I have another question if any body can help I found windows xp full version for 83.00 on pricegrabber.com. Can anyone tell me why that is so cheap. Most places i've checked the upgrade is more expensive than that. Unsure what to do
Ron

Well that XP Full Home (http://www.bcd2000.com/Itemdesc.asp?CartId={274091DF-5518-4B92-85FC-D346DE06C38D}&ic=18088a&source=price_grabber atleast this one I found on pricegrabber)
Is OEM...it says it comes with a cd-key so that is good...I think the product is really intended for computer companies to buy and then package with their systems (it says you have to buy another computer item such as a $3 mouse so they can legally sell it becuase then it makes it a bundle)

Anyone else here know if that OEM version will work fine if it comes with the cd-key?

As for drivers http://www.asus.com.tw/support/downl...Language=en-us here are the drivers (click on drivers tab) for the built in sound and video cards and other things(don't know if your have both of those built in or not...there are also bios upgrades on the page...I highly suggest not to upgrade your bios as it can make your computer a doorstop if done incorrectly...if you are just upgrading your operating system there is no need to upgrade your bios) as for the motherboard and cd-rom drives themselves...they shouldn't need drivers (the cd shouldn't and the motherboard itself (minus the built in cards and usb drivers possibly) shouldn't need one either.

Good Idea! I suggest you start a topic in the XP section on tips for when moving to XP.
