Can't get rid of a McAffee start up pop up.

My PC was loaded with a "free" trial McAffee virus protection. Well, that has long since expired and every single time I start the PC a "warning" from McAffee pops up and says the computer is not protected and I should renew with them. This is very annoying. I searched the start up menu and folders and there's nothing there from McAffee. I even did a file search and supposedly there is no file from them on my computer. How do I ge t rid of the damn thing?

Edit: I just downloaded the start-up program listed on this site, deleted the reference to McAffee and restarted my computer but the pop up from them remains.

try JVPowerTools (RegCleaner)
http://www.macecraft.com/downloads/jv16pt_setup.exe

The RegCleaner part will list installed software and Starting Programs then you can delete.

Perhaps this will help http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.htm

I am such an idiot. That's exactly where it was. I deleted it and it's gone. But I could swear I had already checked the add/remove programs more than once and it wasn't there. Also, why didn't McAffee show up in any of my searches? Whatever...it's gone and that's all that matters.
