Can't get rid of a McAffee start up pop up.
My PC was loaded with a "free" trial McAffee virus protection. Well, that has long since expired and every single time I start the PC a "warning" from McAffee pops up and says the computer is not protected and I should renew with them. This is very annoying. I searched the start up menu and folders and there's nothing there from McAffee. I even did a file search and supposedly there is no file from them on my computer. How do I ge t rid of the damn thing?
![]() Edit: I just downloaded the start-up program listed on this site, deleted the reference to McAffee and restarted my computer but the pop up from them remains. Last edited by nayov; September 2nd, 2003 at 08:09 PM. |

try JVPowerTools (RegCleaner)
http://www.macecraft.com/downloads/jv16pt_setup.exe The RegCleaner part will list installed software and Starting Programs then you can delete.
