minor annoyance in IE
Whenever i start up IE, there is a search bar right next to the address bar, which makes the address bar smaller. I can right-click and turn it off, but it always comes back on new windows. how can i turn this off. I'm running the latest version of IE.

Sounds like ad-ware/spyware
If you want to get rid of it then check your Add/Remove Programs for anything that looks dodgy. MySearch Bar is a common culprit. You could also use SpyBot to get rid of Ad/Spy ware http://www.safer-networking.org/
