Hi Welcome to CTH

If you are getting the error command.com is missing, then use the start-up disk or bootdisk (floppy) when it gets to the A:\> prompt type the following

sys c: (hit <enter> key)

When done, take out floppy and reboot.

Have you recently installed any new software? Office maybe?

This error occurs when you install Office 2000 from a source that contains spaces in the path name. For example, if you install from a server named "\\myserver\Office 2000 Setup", you receive the error.

Fix: modify the source path so that it does not contain any spaces.

Do you get this at boot or when you try to open something?
