Where do drivers go
I have a USB Dock for which I have downloaded latest drivers. Where do these drivers have to go for the Dock to be activated during boot? I did an Add New Hardware routine immediately after the download and specified my desktop download folder for location of drivers. The Dock then worked but now after reboot it does not work so I assume I must place those drivers in some particular place. Am I right?

You shouldn't have needed to do a Add Hardware routine.
I suggest that you goto Control Panel>System>Device manager> Remove the USB Hub from the list. Reboot When Windows reboots, the USB device should automatically be recognised. When it asks for the drivers, direct it to the disk/CD/or downloaded files The drivers will be copied into the correct place by windows.

Thanks for suggestion but I'm not sure of the proper name of device and an afraid of removing wrong item. Here is new fact on the matter -- I am now able to activate the USB Hub each time I boot by simply removing the USB plug-in (from Hub to computer) and then re-plugging it. Immediately, the items plugged into the Hub become alive. Not sure I understand that.
