no components in windows-setup tab

If I open the Windows Setup-tab in the Add/Remove Programs Properties of the Control Panel, there are no components at all. I don't know what happened. How can I resolve this? os:WIN ME

Hi
Try running the "Add new hardware" wizard in Control panel.
Some motherboards requires Plug and Play bios to be detected manually (add new hardware wizard) before it can detect other hardware.
However this process must have been taken place during OS installation unless your motherboard/BIOS has some defect.
