I was wiping EasyUninstall version 2.0 from my hard drive with a freeware program called PGP. I went to reinstall EasyUninstall and a window keeps popping up that says, "cannot find file MSIEXC and its related libraries". I this a missing file from my '95 OS?

Hi real1_shepperd,
See if d/loading and installing the Windows Installer 1.1 Redistributable for Windows 95 and 98 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=F1B7A5B0-611B-45A7-A06D-CADFF33E64DA) helps you solve the problem.

Thanx....someone suggested that yesterday and it removed the aforementioned pop-up...and EasyUninsatll now gets about half way through when the following appears:"Error1308. Source file not found:C:\Progam Files\Ontrack\EasyUninsall\mxinsmon.sys. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

You're welcome.

I did a search at Aladdin's site (they now own EasyUninstall) and found nothing in their Support FAQs about this error. The only thing I did find, for what it's worth, is a thread in their Public Forum, and that was here (http://www.aladdinsys.com/support/techsupport/forum/viewtopic.php?t=76) .

Thanx again...interesting that they think it a bug in the EasyUninstall software. Yeah, I did find out yesterday that Aladdin purchased Ontrack for the most part or at least Easyuninstall. OK..I've done nothing since last night, but reloaded EasyUninstall today with no hitches....go figure. I even ran it through all its functions without any error messages. When a PC's programs suddenly start running properly for no clear reason, I never feel like a 'fix' was done...call me cyber challenged.

Anyway, if it ain't broken, I can't fix it.....thanx for all the help!

You're welcome for the help.

As for programs running properly for no clear reason, yes, I've run into that before, too. Did troubleshooting for hours only to have the darn thing suddenly work the next day or a few hours later.
