Outlook Express save email path....

Is there a way to change the default directory that Outlook Express saves emails to? I normally save emails to a downloads directory but it seems to insist on saving to My Documents all the time, and its a pain having to change it manually all the time.

In Outlook Express, go to Tools>Options>Maintenance tab>Store Folder button and browse to the folder where you want OE to store email. Click OK on all windows to close and you should be good to go.

In Windows the My Documents/Personal Folder is almost always the default when bringing up the Save dialogue.

There are registry tweaks to change the default save path (for all Windows programs, not just OE) and there are also tweaks that will allow you to add extra paths at the side of the dialogue for quick access.

I'm pretty sure TweakUI has the option to add new paths (Open Menu/Places Bar) and also there are add-in programs such as

I think I'll try and look through the registry, I've got TweakXP but there's nothing in there that I can find and I don't want to put to many tweakers on here in case the clash.

TweakUI for XP.
Goto Common Dialogues, choose Custom Places
Choose your places from the dropdown menus
