Hi kamyajohn, welcome to Cyber Tech Help!

First off, you ought to add memory to that PC. I don't know how much/what type it'll take, but RAM is pretty cheap these days.

With an upgrade CD, you shouldn't lose any data simply going from W95 to W98.

For whatever it is worth, Microsoft claims the minimum RAM to run W98 is 16 MB.

I presume you can find out which type of RAM for the machines particular manufacturer and model at either www.crucial.com or www.kingston.com
