It is an invalid link in the reg or start up files, Hit start/open and type msconfig find that file and delete it. See if it has double link

misred_aust,

A format and reinstall should have fixed your problem. How did you format the computer?

Do you have a Regualar Windows CD or a Recovery disk?

Did you use Fdisk, format c: and such from a bootup disk(Startup disk)?

Thanks people,
I will try you the msconfig and delete the file. I formatted my computer with format c: with a startup disk. I have a regular windows 98 CD. I didn't have this error before I formatted. :)
