Drivers

My modem driver which is Conexant HCF3880 needs updating. The Conexant website only has generic drivers available and suggests contacting the manufacturer to get an updated driver. I can't find any company called HCF. I thought it might be the initials of some company, but have had no luck with this either. Does anyone know anything about HCF?

I spent much time last night looking for Conexant drivers. They may be talking about the manufacturer of the computer. (ie. Dell, COMPAQ, HP, etc....)

Hi Cat, just wanted to let you know there are responses (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=9&t=000187) to this same message in the "Applications" forum. Hope the info helps. BTW, imho, one of the problems to having the same message in different forums is that you don't get cohesive/consistent information. That can lead to confusion and computers can already be confusing enough! ;) Good luck with the drivers.

Cat, as tweakthis says, please try to keep your post to the one forum that is most relevant to your problem. We realise many times the topic could be posted in up to 3 of our forums (e.g. Apps, Hardware and Operating System). As you have now advised in Apps forum that you are running Win2000, this should not have been posted in W98 forum at all.

808hi.com and prowl, the site has mostly lucent, ut does have hcf data.

Just curious, What make you think the Driver Needs upgraded?
