Windows can see and read off the drive but ez cd creator doesnt work. This just happened all of a sudden. Ive tried installing demos and other burning proggies out there and they couldnt detect it either. All the programs ive tried just cant detect the drive as a burner. I have 2 drives, DVD and the burner. Any help would be great.

Hi welcome to CTH. It could be that the drivers for the Cd-rw are corrupted a bit, so the program are only reading as a cdrom. Give this a try.

Right click My Computer and choose properties. Device manager tab. Find your Cd-rw drive and highlight it. Go toward the bottom of the page and hit the Remove button. THen Reboot the PC and let windows Reinstall the drivers. That may help get it going. Give the programs a try again....
