Question Please Help!!!

Hello to Everybody!

I am happy that I found this help site. I would need your help. I have a problem with WinMe when I try to boot it. Yesterday I switched on my computer and ScanDisk started to run automatically. But unfortunately I was so crazy that I clicked No, and Scan Disk stopped checking. My system opened but some minutes later it stopped working and I had to restart my computer. But unfortunately it did not want to work and I got a message that Scan Disk can not start. After this I wanted to boot my computer by original WinMe disk. It started to work but then there was the next message: A:\ ;and I did not know what is the next thing I have to do. Perhaps it needs something DOS command or I do not know. Somebody said that I have to go D:\ (because my CD driver is there) and then I have to write:
D:\?help. What do you think about it? Or do you have any other idea because now I am very nervous and I am afraid of switch on my computer.

Thanks.

How did you turn off the computer previous (just before) you turned on the computer and it started doing the scan disk yesterday? Did you just turn off the computer by the power switch or did you shut down by the start - shut down?

As far as turning off scan disk as soon as you turn the computer on, normally it does not matter. I do it all of the time because I have this bad habit of not turning off one of my computer properly. However there is alway a possiblity that there is a problem, hopefully not major.

Go ahead and turn the computer back on without the WinME bootdisk, and tell us exactly what happens, including any specific error messages. Get your pen and paper ready :-)

Hello ! ) Thank you for your answer. Earlier I had a freeze, and I could not turn my computer off safly. I did not leave Scan Disk to repair my sectors and files and I got an another freeze. Today I tried to turn my computer on pressing key F6 and now I know the problem of my comuter. I got the next message „ Windows jump over boot files. „ It also says that if it is work then the support of network is minimal. But unfortunately I still do not know how could I repair it?
