intro page

I am redoing my entire website and have included a flash intro page that I like.
the question is meta tags--an intro page only has one link an that is to your first & main page. so when I get it analized,by submit express, it comes at poor tags. Of course an intro page as no relavance to the meta tags only the first full page. is it bad to have a nice intro or is there a way to use different meta tags for better ratings?

You asked if it is bad to have a flash into, it really depends upon the site's content. Flash is nice and looks great but in alot of cases, imo, it is a waste of time for both the visitor and the webmaster.

If you have a new site or if there is alot of competition, you are going for ratings, you need all the exposure you can get. A flash intro can hurt you.

Anyway that is my opinions on this. Personally I do membership sites for private and local organizations so I do not have to worry about ratings. And I do have a Swish (flash wannabe) intro on two of the sites.
