Everytime i restart my computer my bios makes about 7 or 10 beeps and I think it means something about Checksum error

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to fix this

Thanks, Cam

Here's a nice little guide to Beep Code Errors (http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/sys/beep/index-i.htm) from PC Guide.
However, without more info - i.e. what BIOS do you have, what operating system, what hardware, etc. - it's difficult to give any more info than that. :)

Allright, heres the specs on my comp.

Bios: AMI (American Megatrends)
Motherboard: ECS (Elitegroup)
CPU: Amd Athlon XP 2200+ (1.8 Ghz)
RAM: 384 megs of SDRAM
Harddrive: 120 Gig Western Digital
CDrom: DvD burner and LG cd-r burner
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 7000 (PCI version)
OS: Windows XP Professional

Well heres the deal whenever I restart my computer it will make around 7 to 8 beeps (approximately)
But if I turn the computer on everything works perfectly fine.

I have no idea why it is doing this
Also when my computer is restarted by pressign the restart button the monitor goes into some powersave mode and shutsoff. The monitor will only comp back on if the computer is turned off by the power button and then turned on. If you can help me, I would be very grateful :)

Thanks Cam
