Best software for a tv tuner Pixelview card.

Hi

I have an old Pixelview Pro Tv Tuner card but the software that came included only saves the captured video in .avi format and a one minute vidoe is recorded as a 100MB file. It has a free scan (means it scans channels by increasing frequency like a TV).

But then I bought Ulead Video Studio 6 and it captures in mpeg format which is alot smaller as compared to the included Tv Tuner card captured file. But the problem is it doesn't have a free scan but some sort of fixed scan thing and doesn't tune all the channels of cable.

Can someone please recommend a good Tv Tuner software that also captures to atleast Mpeg format and is alot less painfull.
