Hi r3th1nk, welcome to CTH!
Take a look at our tutorials page (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/tutorials/tutorial.php/id/39) for info on preparing your hard drive for, and installing an operating system. Any other questions, post 'em back here in this thread you started!
By the way, I went to Bele Chere this year. Awesome!!

What OS are you planning on installing? You'll have to partition and format your hard drive before you can do anything else. Determine weather you want XP or anythind else before it. The partition will have to be FAT32 (Win9x) or NTSF (WinXP). If the hard drive doesn't have any of the above, the manufacturer should provide a download to help you partition/format. If not a generic disk wizard will do the trick. From there you can use a boot disk for your preferred OS to install the necessary files from your CD.
