Dear friends:

Please see the URL at:

Is it preferable to change the images (e.g. of specific pieces of jewelry) in Photoshop by deleting and adding layers or in an HTML editor?

All my thanks.

Benjamin

I dont' understand the question.

If you are simply wanting to swap images ont eh page and can do that in HTML, then you don't need Photoshop (provided your images are all ready to go.)

If you change the Photoshop file by turning on/off layers, how does that effect your web page? Do you mean you'd resave the entire page after editing in Photoshop?

I do not understand your question either. Are you wanting to replace the images you already have or do you want rotating images - a different image every so often?

Dear Buzz and Renegade:

Thanks so much for your comments. I see that I could just change the images in my HTML editor. No need to do this in Photoshop. But I am curious about what Renegade suggested: Rotating images. Would that be done in Photoshop? If so, could you please elaborate. I don't really know what you have in mind.

Thanks again.

I was just trying to figure out what you were talking about. Photoshop is just a graphic editor. What I was talking about creating different views of the same photos or rotating through different photos. This can be done through flash, javascript and others.

Rotating images can mean a few things, it can mean turning it round, or it can mean a system where a random image is loaded when you view the page, often used for adverts on a page.

Dear friends:

OK, gang, I got it! By rotating images you were talking about doing this using javascript, flash, etc. Clear as a whistle. I thought for a moment that you were talking about doing this in HTML, and I was curious what that might be.

OK, it's a wrap. Thanks, everyone.
