SETI type software

Hi

I have been using the SETI software (for anlaysing their data) for a while now. I was thinking of helping another cause. I am sure I have read about SETI-type programs for medical science which your computer can use to analyse data for them. Does anyone know if this is hte case and if so where I can get them from. I have looked on google but without much success as I dont really know what Im looking for

Thanks
Richard

There are a few out there:
I used to use this one for donating the time to cancer reasearch but my dad thought it was causing problems so I took it off. Keep in mind it probably will max out ur cpu and that could cause heat problems so just monitor the cpu temperature.

Good Luck

One of the more popular is Folding @ Home.

Search around for 'distributed computing' or the like, and you'll come up with just what you want, I'm sure.
