CD Writer opening and closing

My OS is ME and everything was working fine until I did a "thorough" system scan.

Since then the CD writer is opening and closing continously. I haven't downloaded any "joke" applications etc. If my PC has been off for hours then it doesn't happen until approx. 10 minutes. If I knock off and then switch back on within 2-3 hours it starts opening and closing immediately. Even before the PC has finished loading all the applications.

Please I desperately need help.

Try going here and download Startup List. Unzip the files (if you need a program to do so I suggest installing Cam Unzip)
Run the unzipped file and post the log back here.
