I want to right click on any given folder and create a text file listing all the files within it. So far I have been doing this with files on CDs and using this:
dir f: /b /s > e:\dir.doc (Where F: is my CD drive) I figure I can put a copy of the batch in my right-click "Send To" menu... but how do I tell the batch file to use the directory of the folder I am right clicking on? Or would it be easier to do this in vbs (which I've never used before) or something else? Oh, and btw, I'm running Win2k, if it makes any difference... PPS - and if your REALLY want to tackle a tough one, how about telling me how to have it check to see if dir.doc already exsists, and if so, creating it instead as dir01.doc, dir02.doc, etc., so I don't have to keep going in there and changing them manually after each time I run the (*&^ thing!! lol

You're right it would be better in VBS, but do yourself a big favour and save yourself a bit of time, by downloading and running Karen Kenworthys' Directory Printer v3.4 (924kb freeware)
