hi dont know if im writing this in the right place sorry if i am. Im having a problem with Direct 3D, I try and run the direct 3d test in directx diagnostic tools and i get a error

Direct3D 7 Test failed at step 8 (creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)

Direct3D 8 Test failed at step 8 (creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)

Direct3D 9 Test failed at step 8 (creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)

Im using a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (with up to date drivers)
im using directx version 9.0b

go to direct x files and see if any problems are reported there

Have you tried reinstalling DirectX?

There are no problems with directx files
iv reinstalled directx a few times iv also formated but still no idea

right click my comp, choose properties and performance
click graphics and make sure hardware acceleratrion is up to the max

have u check the ge force website in case it's a knowen problem?
