i am having serious problems installing ME

Hi everyone, i have been battling for nearly a fortnight with this problem and really hope someone can give some help, the hard drive has been formatted and the correct partitions have been made but when its starts copying files needed for set up the computer stops responding and there are three coloured blocks with letters in randomly across the screen please help any and all advice would be greatly appreciated before i go completely bald from pulling my hair out!!!

Not to be short with you,but the way you explain your problem,there should be no problem
As there are some pretty sharp people on this forum,and would be very happy to help you.

Suggestion: check all your Hardware connections then reply with just what you have done the and how you done it.How you used fdisk how you formated and what you used to do it with what the number`s are,at what point in the setup they apear and any error messeges you get

You might try memtest86 to check your memory. I had a similar (not identical) problem a while back; turned out to be a bad memory module.
